Important Message from our President

Dear Fellow Members,

First and foremost, I hope you and your families are safe and healthy, both mentally and physically. What we are experiencing at this time is unprecedented. The COVID-19 pandemic has redefined what it is like to lead a “normal” life. We are all affected by it and I am afraid we will be for some time. As the pandemic has had a profound effect on our day to day life, it also has had a significant impact on our Massachusetts Minuteman Chapter.

I would like to provide an update on our APICS’ chapter. Our Board of Directors has continued to meet, now virtually, each month. We are fiscally sound and will continue to closely monitor our cash flow in order to maintain our current activities going forward. Our membership to date is also strong, above 200 dedicated members in pursuit of staying actively involved in supply chain excellence. For this year, up through the summer months, all active and scheduled APICS learning classes have been cancelled NOTE: Our July class is TBD at this point. In any case, we are hoping and expecting to restart these classes for sure in early September. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have interest in any classes, it will only help us focus on our membership needs. We are now offering some of our monthly programs virtually; details will be posted on our Chapter Events page as this evolves.

Each month going forward, I will be sending out a communication to all Minuteman members. Your Board of Directors is monitoring any government action that can allow us to reassemble and start up at a minimum our PDM programs. What I do know is that this will eventually be behind us. When it is, we will renew our commitment to Supply Chain Excellence and continue to serve our membership, you, to the best of our abilities.

Wishing you and your families continued health. Be safe and please continue to stay tuned to your Minuteman chapter updates going forward.

Sincerely,

Keith Spodek
President Massachusetts Minuteman Chapter
